Previously this 12 months I grew to become obsessed with the clearly show Yellowstone. We decided to appear up with a Yellowstone Menu in honour of the very long awaited return of time 4, and so one thing to celebrate Beth (and her like of bourbon) felt critical. Each individual weekend, I will be sharing a new “Yellowstone Themed” recipe. Trust me they are SO Good.

Handmade Bourbon Caramel Sauce

If you have ever required to choose a dessert to the future degree I have three words and phrases for you: Bourbon Caramel Sauce. Whilst your apple crisp is baking, (or what ever dessert you are whipping up) you can quickly whisk with each other a home made caramel sauce about the stove. The bourbon is decently entrance and centre in this recipe, so come to feel cost-free to make a batch without it for any kiddos (change with h2o or cream)! This would taste scrumptious more than ice cream or recipes like this Upside-Down Pear Gingerbread Cake or drizzled around an Apple Galette.

Beth’s Bourbon Apple Crisp

This Bourbon Apple Crisp is sweet with a bold punch of bourbon. Provide with a dollop of iced product for the perfect address!

Components

Apple Crisp

  • 5 cups 1/2″ diced peeled apples* about 4-6 apples
  • 1 cup outdated fashioned rolled oats gluten free
  • 1/2 cup flour gluten free
  • 1/2 cup lightly packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter divided

Beth’s Bourbon Sauce

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup lightly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup cream or coconut cream
  • pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Guidelines

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and lightly grease 6 oven evidence ramekins or a 8×8” pan. Position the diced apples in a medium bowl and stir in 1 tablespoon of melted butter.

  2. In a large bowl, blend the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt.  Mix to combine.  Stir in the remaining melted butter to combine.

  3. Stir 1/4 cup of the oat mixture into the apples and stir to mix.  Transfer the apples to the baking dish(es) and sprinkle the oat mixture evenly about the apples.

  4. Bake right up until the prime is golden brown, about 1 hour.

  5. Although the crisp is baking make the Bourbon Sauce.  In a compact saucepan over reduced warmth combine the butter and flour and whisk together prepare dinner for 1 minute. Insert the brown sugar, bourbon, product and salt simmer and whisk until eventually the sugar is dissolved and the sauce has a little bit thickened, 2-3 minutes.  Remove from the heat and whisk in the vanilla.

  6. Serve a little bit warm with a scoop of vanilla ‘nice cream’ or ice product and a drizzle of Beth’s Bourbon Sauce.
