Lavender Haze Superfood Smoothie Drink
If you’re a Taylor Swift fan (aka Swiftie for the die-hard fans), then you’ll definitely appreciate this Lavender Haze Superfood Smoothie recipe! IYKYK
Unlike the Starbucks Lavender Haze drink that’s gone viral, this superfood smoothie is packed with healthy ingredients that are low in sugar, high in fiber, protein and healthy fats!
Even though the smoothie color itself is a bit on the purple side, I’m still calling it Lavender Haze because…well, you know… I’m a fan!
If you landed here and you’re not a Swiftie (aka Taylor Swift fan), no worries! You can still be a fan of this Lavender Haze Superfood Smoothie!
I created this collagen smoothie specifically for both the 17 Day Diet and the 17 Day Kickstart Diet. If you are a fan of either diet, then you’re in luck!
Keep reading as I’ll let you know which cycles/phases this smoothie is approved for.
Lavender Haze Meaning
Before we get to the Lavender Haze Superfood Smoothie, I wanted to share some fun facts.
In case you’re wondering what the heck the term Lavender Haze means, it was a term coined in the 1950’s. It represents a person who is deeply in love with their partner to the point that they are kind of oblivious to anything else around them.
The Lavender Haze has been described as the all encompassing “love glow” from being in the honeymoon phase.
You remember that feeling right? Being on cloud nine in the very beginning stages of a new relationship.
While I was creating my Lavender Haze gemstone bracelet for my etsy shop inspired by Taylor’s song, and while the Starbuck’s Lavender Haze drink was going viral, I thought, “What about a Lavender Haze Smoothie?” Duh!
When you make this Lavender Haze Superfood Smoothie, all the yummy and healthy foods that go into your blender are going to give you the “all encompassing glow”.
Filled with antioxidant-rich wild blueberries to superfoods like chia seed and Lion’s Mane mushroom powder, your smoothie will not only make your skin glow, it will also sustain your energy without a sugar crash and keep you satiated well into the lunch or dinner hour.
You’ll be on cloud nine and you’ll feel really good! I call this the Lavender Haze Superfood Smoothie effect!
OK, now onto the smoothie!
Ingredients for Lavender Haze Superfood Smoothie
This smoothie recipe is fairly simple. I’ve included a few favorite superfood ingredients to help boost its nutritional value and health benefits.

Here are some of the ingredients:

- Chia Seeds
- Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder
Optional Boosters for this Superfood Smoothie

Superfoods In Lavender Haze Smoothie
As I mention earlier, I’ve added a few superfoods to this Taylor Swift inspired Lavender Haze Smoothie to enhance its nutrition profile in the healthiest way possible!
Here are a few of the superfoods I feature in this smoothie and why they are important to add to your diet.
Wild Blueberries Health Benefits
I honestly had no clue about the benefits of Wild Blueberries until I saw someone mention them on Instagram and went a little deep into my research. These little berries are my new favorite superfood!
Wild Blueberries are smaller and contain less water than regular cultivated blueberries you’d buy in the produce department. They have a more intense flavor (tangy and sweet) and they hold their shape better when cooking with them.
We always hear that blueberries are full of antioxidants. Well, did you know that Wild Blueberries contain twice the amount of antioxidants per serving than cultivated blueberries?
They also contain twice the fiber and less sugar than regular blueberries.
Very interesting, huh?!
Wild Blueberries are also full of vitamins, minerals, micronutrients (Iron, Vitamin C, folic acid and manganese). In fact, they contain eight times more manganese than cultivated blueberries.
From FoodNerdInc.om:
Research has shown that manganese may improve bone health, reduce inflammation, help regulate blood sugar, and plays a role in nutrient metabolism.
Where to Buy Wild Blueberries
Wild Blueberries are sold in your grocery store in the freezer section. It’s important to check the label of the product you buy to make sure the ingredients include “Wild Blueberries” or you might get something different than what you’re paying for.
I use the Great Value brand from WalMart. It’s a 40oz bag and it contains a ton of wild blueberries for the price.
Health Benefits of Collagen
I decided to feature collagen in this Lavender Haze Superfood Smoothie because it’s a vital protein that your body needs, especially if you’re getting older.
I briefly talk about collagen in my Strawberry, Peanut Butter & Chocolate Collagen Smoothie recipe, and I’ll expand just a bit more here with the benefits.
Collagen is a protein that the body produces to help support things such as hair, nails, skin, bones, cartilage and connective tissue.
As we age, our bodies stop producing as much, so it’s necessary to supplement with foods rich in collagen (poultry, fish, beans and eggs). Collagen powder supplements can also be used, too!
Collagen is great for your skin – it helps keep your skin strong, hydrated and may help reduce wrinkles because it increases skin elasticity.
Taking Collagen supplements can also be useful for joint pain as some studies suggest. Collagen helps maintain the integrity of your cartilage and some studies even show that collagen helps relieve symptoms of osteoarthritis.
Other health benefits of collage may include:
- May prevent bone loss
- May promote heart health
- Strengthens hair and nails
- May help gain muscle mass
Where Can I Buy Collagen Peptides?
You can usually buy collagen peptides in your grocery store, but I personally think the variety is limiting and the prices tend to be higher (unless you’re getting your collagen from Costco).
Amazon has a large variety of well-known and less known brands of collagen. Plus, the customer reviews section is priceless.
One brand of unflavored collagen powder that I use is the Codeage Multi Collagen Protein Powder. Their unflavored powder contains clean ingredients and is ideal if you want to control the flavor of your smoothie.
Here are a few other things that stand out with this brand:
- The collagen powder offers 5 types of collagen (type I, II, III, V & X) from 5 different sources.
- This formula features vitamins & minerals, including vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin D3. hyaluronic acid, niacin, keratin and 10,000 mcg biotin.
- Includes 18 amino acids
- Keto and paleo-friendly, non-GMO, dairy, soy and gluten-free.
- This formula does not contain shellfish, artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners, oil or preservatives.

Chia Seeds Benefits
Chia seeds are featured in this smoothie because they are so good for you!
They are full of fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, a complete protein, full of minerals such as manganese, and vitamins B1, B2 and niacin.
Chia seeds expand as they’re used in liquid, so along with their fiber content, they help keep you fuller longer.
They also contain certain antioxidants that may help lower blood pressure, help with inflammation, are heart healthy and may reduce the risk of heart disease, and may decrease the risk of chronic diseases.
Where to Buy Chia Seeds
I am a huge fan of the TerraSoul Superfoods Organic Black Chia Seeds. This bag contains 2.5 pounds of chia seeds, so they last you a long while.
They are available on Amazon and the quality of their products (I use them for many other things) are top notch!
Benefits of Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder
I’m a long-time user of Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder (I put it in my coffee every morning) and love it so much that I wanted to include this brain-booster in my Lavender Haze Superfood Smoothie.
Lion’s Mane is a mushroom that looks like the mane of a lion with its shaggy appearance, hence the name Lion’s Mane.
Lion’s Mane has several health benefits such as:
- Helping with inflammation
- Reducing the risk of heart disease
- Helping manage diabetes symptoms
However, it’s best known for its brain health benefits. That’s why I decided to use this ingredient in my superfood smoothie recipe!
Lion’s Mane is known for protecting against dementia. It contains a few compounds that help stimulate the growth of brain cells.
In addition to protecting against dementia, studies have shown that Lion’s Mane also helps with mild anxiety and depression.
A little bit of Lion’s Mane goes a long way.
Where to Buy Lion’s Mane
The brand I’ve been using for several years now and highly recommend is TerraSoul Superfoods Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder. The suggested serving size of this particular brand is only 1/3 teaspoon.
You can find them on Amazon (just like their chia seeds).
17 Day Diet Lavender Haze Superfood Smoothie
If you’re on the 17 Day Diet, you can use this recipe as-is during Cycle 3. This is the cycle when bananas, nuts, seeds and non-dairy milks are allowed.
If you want to use this smoothie recipe for cycles 1 or 2, here are a few changes you’ll want to make if you’re sticking by the book 100%.
Cycle 1 and 2 Smoothie Changes
If you’re sticking by the 17 Day Diet Book and want to use this smoothie in cycles 1 or 2, here are changes you’ll need to make:
- Skip the nut/seed milk (either use water instead or use more yogurt depending on how thick it is)
- Skip the banana (you may have to add approved sweetener to your smoothie if you want it to taste sweeter)
- Skip the nut butter
- Skip the chia seeds
If you’re not 100% strict with your 17 Day Diet, then you could easily use chia seeds (they are a superfood after all) and you’ll still reap the benefits of a low carb smoothie with extra health benefits. It’s up to you!
17 Day Kickstart Diet Lavender Haze Superfood Smoothie
If you’re on the 17 Day Kickstart Diet, you can use this recipe as-is starting in the 10-Day Stabilize Phase.
To make this compliant for earlier phases of the Kickstart Diet, there are a few changes you’ll need to make (don’t worry, they’re simple!).
If you’re not sure which foods are allowed when, make sure you take a peek at my 17 Day Kickstart Diet Food List.
Smoothie Changes for the Scrub and Soak Up Phases
If you want to reap the benefits of this Lavender Haze Superfood Smoothie on either the 3-Day Scrub or the 4-Day Soak Up Phase, here are changes you’ll need to make:
Smoothie Changes for Scrub Phase
- Use a dairy free yogurt (coconut or soy based)
- Use a seed milk or coconut milk (nuts aren’t allowed until day 10)
- Skip the banana (it’s allowed starting on day4!)
- Skip the nut butter and use your favorite seed butter
Smoothie Changes for Soak Up Phase
- Use a dairy free yogurt (coconut or soy based)
- Use a seed milk or coconut milk (nuts aren’t allowed until day 10)
- Skip the nut butter and use your favorite seed butter
Keto Diet Friendly Smoothie Recipe
If you happen to be on a Keto Diet, you can definitely use this recipe, but you’ll need to make a few changes to make it fit within your macros.
- Use a full-fat yogurt (no sugar added if you use a flavored variety)
- Use a full-fat heavy cream, or almond, coconut or a nut milk that fits in your macros
- Skip the banana (sorry!)
